This conference will explore the movement for women's suffrage form early writings on rights for women through the development of the movement to and beyond the Nineteenth Amendment. Participants will analyze primary sources that impacted the colonial era, through the 19th century, and will trace the coalescence of tributaries into the raging stream of the movement. The discussion will surface the flow of the movement, and the journey of its codification into the Constitutional amendment.
This will be a four-session application based colloquium style discussion that will rely heavily on participant preparation and involvement. Registrations must be approved by Institute staff.More Information
